As client demand and our understanding of the greatest challenges facing the world evolve, so do our Pillars. We have spent the last three years completing a massive overhaul of all of our Pillars. One specific piece of client feedback that emerged from that exploration is that the name and scope of our Financial System Stability Pillar wasn’t particularly intuitive for clients interested in issues related to the global economy.
That Pillar covered important company behaviors, such as systemic risk management, anti-competitive practices, and lapses in oversight. And once we laid that out for clients interested in making an impact in those areas, the Pillar made sense. After a thorough review of the Financial System Stability Pillar, we decided to change the name to something that resonates more with our client community. Based on many client conversations, we came up with Markets and Innovation.
Today, Director of Research Travis Korte unpacks why we made this decision and how it might impact investors.
Here are some key takeaways from Travis:
- A More Intuitive Framework
The original Financial System Stability Pillar addressed some, but not all, of the economic issues our clients seek to express in their investments. Renaming it to Markets and Innovation and broadening the scope helps better reflect what our clients really care about. - Alignment with Client Perspectives
Client feedback played a central role in reshaping the Pillar—highlighting an interest in the policies and practices that support a stronger and more resilient economy. The new name aligns more closely with how clients naturally think about these topics. - Evaluating Company Impact
The updated Pillar continues to focus on company behaviors that influence commerce and innovation—such as anti-competitive practices, consumer transparency, financial risk, and labor market resilience.

What’s a Rich Text element?
The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.
Static and dynamic content editing
A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!
How to customize formatting for each rich text
Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
