Key Takeaways

  1. Stewardship is a differentiator. Advisors who integrate stewardship can deepen client trust, strengthen relationships, and stand out in a crowded marketplace.
  2. Proxy voting and engagement can drive real world change. Evidence shows that shareholder actions can influence board accountability, executive pay practices, and corporate transparency—even when investors don’t hold majority stakes.
  3. Ethic empowers advisors and clients with tools for active ownership. From proxy voting to partnerships with leading advocacy groups, Ethic provides the infrastructure for clients to influence the companies they own.

Why Stewardship Matters

Advisors today are expected to deliver value on multiple fronts, and investment stewardship has become an important way to do so. Stewardship, also known as active ownership, offers investors the chance to make their voices heard on the issues that matter most to them, from climate risk to corporate governance. For advisors, it’s an opportunity to demonstrate leadership and align clients’ investments with their priorities.

Inside the White Paper

Ethic’s new Investment Stewardship white paper takes a closer look at how stewardship works in practice through proxy voting, shareholder engagement, and shareholder proposals. It also highlights evidence of the real-world impact these activities can have, from shaping executive pay to increasing corporate accountability. And it provides a detailed overview of the Ethic approach: a stewardship model grounded in transparency, client empowerment, and partnerships with leading advocacy groups.

Stewardship isn’t just about voting, it’s about deepening the ways clients can align their portfolios with matters most to them. Download the full white paper to learn how Ethic supports advisors and investors in making active ownership both accessible and meaningful.

What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
